Yi Guo Dong, a devoted husband, father, brother, and entrepreneur, passed away peacefully at his home in Lexington, North Carolina, on April 26, 2026. Born on July 30, 1968, in China, he was 57 years old at the time of his passing.
Yi Guo Dong was the beloved son of the late Ding Fu Dong and Sai Jin Ni. In pursuit of a brighter future, he embarked on a journey that led him to the United States, where he would build a successful life and family.
On August 26, 2016, Yi Guo married Bo Yu in Lexington, NC, marking the beginning of a loving partnership that endured through life's many challenges and joys. Together, they nurtured a close-knit family and shared countless cherished moments.
Yi Guo was the proud owner and operator of the DGI Wholesale Company, which he managed with dedication and integrity for over 25 years. His commitment to his work was matched only by his love for his family and his passion for fishing. Yi Guo found great joy in spending time with his loved ones, often enjoying peaceful days by the water.
He is survived by his dear wife, Bo Yu, and four children: Kevin Dong, Cindy Dong, Daniel Dong, and Luke Dong. Yi Guo also leaves behind his sister, Qiu Zhu Dong, who will forever hold his memory close to her heart.
Yi Guo was preceded in death by his parents, Ding Fu Dong and Sai Jin Ni, whose legacy he carried forward with honor and respect.
A ceremony to honor Yi Guo's life will be held at a date soon to be determined at Triad Cremation & Funeral Service, located at 2110 Servomation Rd, Greensboro, NC 27407. Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate the life of a man who touched many hearts with his kindness and generosity.
Yi Guo Dong will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His spirit will live on in the memories of those who were fortunate enough to be part of his journey.
