Sharon Lea Egan

Sharon Lea Egan, born on July 22, 1947, in Montgomery County, Ohio, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2026, at the age of 78 at Hinkle Hospice House.

Sharon was the beloved daughter of the late William K. and Irene Nina Combs Jones. She received her formal education at Fairview High School in Dayton, Ohio, where she laid the foundation for a life dedicated to education and nurturing others. On November 26, 1979, she married Charles Joseph Egan in Dayton, Ohio, beginning a loving partnership that spanned decades.

Her professional life was marked by her dedication to teaching. Sharon devoted over 25 years to Northview School, where she worked as a teacher for students with disabilities. Her compassion and commitment left a lasting impact on her students and colleagues alike.

Outside of her professional life, Sharon found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She enjoyed swimming, exploring the outdoors, and had a deep appreciation for wildlife. These passions brought her peace and happiness throughout her life.

Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, her grandparents Cullie and Nina Combs, and her sister Peggy Ramey. She is survived by her devoted husband, Charles "Joe" Egan, her sons William Egan and Brian Ashley, and her cherished grandsons Cameron Egan and Aydrian Egan. She also leaves behind her brother-in-law, Julian Ramey, along with numerous friends who will miss her dearly.

In accordance with her wishes, no formal services will be held. Sharon's family and friends are invited to remember her in their own personal ways, cherishing the memories of a life well-lived.
