Pauline Wilcox Roark

Pauline Wilcox Roark, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home in High Point, North Carolina, on August 15, 2025. Born on December 26, 1946, in Ashe County, North Carolina, she lived a life of dedication to her family and faith, reaching the age of 78.

Daughter to the late Lester and Lily Daughtry Wilcox, Pauline was raised with strong values and a commitment to hard work. She spent many years employed as a machine operator in the furniture industry at Hickory Springs, where she worked diligently until her retirement.

Pauline found joy in simple pleasures, such as shopping and attending church camp, where she forged lasting friendships and created cherished memories. Her warmth and kindness touched all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Virginia "Sis" Roark. Pauline leaves behind a loving family, including her children: Timmy Wilcox, William Roark, and Sherry Van Ausdall, along with her husband, Steve. She is also survived by her brother, Glen Wilcox, and his wife, Barbara.

Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Christian and Cameron Jones; great-grandchildren, Hunter, Remington, Carson, and Niklaus Jones; and special nieces and nephews, Shelby Berrier, Maria Roark, Ricky Roark, and Stacy Wilcox. Pauline will also be fondly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A memorial service to honor Pauline's life will be held at a later date at The Salvation Army Church in High Point, North Carolina. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Salvation Army in her memory.

Pauline Wilcox Roark will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love and grace she so generously shared during her lifetime.
