Carlos Lamont Hough, born on April 19, 1972, in the District of Columbia, passed away peacefully at the age of 53 on June 16, 2025, in Davidson County, North Carolina. Carlos was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend whose warmth touched all who knew him.
For over two decades, Carlos dedicated himself to his career as a Security Guard, ensuring the safety and well-being of those around him. He was well respected in the community for his professionalism and steadfast presence across various establishments.
Beyond his professional life, Carlos was a man of diverse interests and passions. He found great joy in fishing, often enjoying the tranquility of the water. As a sports enthusiast, he was a loyal Redskins football fan and a supporter of the Duke basketball team. Carlos also loved playing cards, particularly Blackjack and poker, and spent many joyful hours engaging with friends and family over video games, especially Madden and Call of Duty.
Cooking was another of Carlos's delights, and he relished the opportunity to gather family and friends for a meal filled with love and laughter. His culinary skills will be remembered fondly by all who had the pleasure of sharing his table.
Carlos is preceded in death by his father, Cleatus Edmond Lee Jr., and five cherished sisters. He is survived by his loving spouse of four years, Sonja Hough; his son, Josh Hough, and daughter-in-law, Caitlen Miller; his daughters, Hayley Lambeth, Makaley Lambeth, and Hannah Lambeth; and his beloved grandson, Adrian Hough. He also leaves behind his devoted mother, Lendoria Hough; his sister, Deborah Lee; his brother, Darius Lee; his best friend, Michael Briggs; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Carlos's life will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Sophia Church of God, located at 4893 Beeson Farm Rd, Sophia, NC 27350. Friends and family are invited to come together to honor his memory and share in the joy he brought into their lives. Flowers are welcomed at the service.
Carlos's legacy of kindness, loyalty, and joy will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
